The Gypsy Opens in C.D. Location

John Dortch opened The Gypsy on Dec. 28 at 402 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville in the building that previously housed C.D. Lounge. C.D. Lounge closed in early December.
Art Stiles, who previously operated Art’s Place on Dickson at the location, had leased the building to Chung Lin for a year, and it was operated as C.D. Lounge. Stiles, who owns Art’s Place at 2530 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville, said he is too busy to manage two bars, so he prefers to lease the building in the middle of the city’s Dickson Street entertainment district.
Dortch said he is still working out the details of his new business and will soon decide what type of food will be served there.
