Retailers and Restaurants Rush to Rogers

Eva Gabor may have wanted Park Avenue, but retail stores and restaurants around the country want in on the economic boom that is Rogers.

Among the latest possibilities that we’ve heard may come to Rogers is Parisian, a specialty department store owned and operated by Saks Inc. of Birmingham, Ala.

Parisian announced in early 2001 plans to open its first Arkansas location next fall at The Avenue Chenal in Little Rock. Its stores carry fashion apparel, shoes and accessories, as well as cosmetics, specialty gifts and decorative items for the home.

Julia Bentley, a spokesperson for Saks, would not confirm or deny that Parisian was looking at coming to Rogers.

Rogers’ Scottsdale Center is already filling up fast with retailers, including the Gap, Pier 1 Imports, Belk’s and Linen ‘N’ Things, and several restaurant chains.
