Forty Under 40: Jennifer Hendren
Jennifer Hendren was part of the legal team that in May 2001 helped wed Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale and IBP Inc. to create the world’s largest meat company. She has also represented Wal-Mart Stores Inc., J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. and Acxiom Corp. in various matters.
She was president of Hendren Law Firm P.A. in Fayetteville for two years before joining the Fayetteville office of Kutak Rock LLP in March.
Hendren said Kutak’s reputation and resources made her decision easy.
Hendren, 29, graduated magna cum laude in 1994 from the University of Arkansas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. She graduated with high honors in 1997 from the UALR School of Law.
Hendren was a litigation associate from 1996-2000 at the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock before opening her own practice.
She is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and serves on several Arkansas Bar Association committees. Hendren was also as an adjunct professor and coach for the UALR National Trial Competition Team.
She has served on the public advocacy committee for the American Heart Association and was a volunteer for the United Way in Little Rock.
