Forty Under 40: Carl Mushrush
Carl Mushrush bounced around somewhat as a youth. But, at just 32, he has planted his feet firmly in Fayetteville.
Mushrush is the vice president of Lewis Management Inc. Less formally, he is general manager for both Lewis Ford and Lewis Chrysler-Dodge.
Born in Memphis, Mushrush attended elementary school in Fayetteville before moving to Westville, Okla. He would later join the Marine Corps, and by the age of 21, he was selling cars. He has been with the Lewis company since 1996.
“This is home for sure,” Mushrush said.
Lewis Ford and Lewis Chrysler-Dodge sell about 4,000 vehicles per year. Mushrush oversees the many operations, including inventories, sales and service for both the Fayetteville headquarters and the used-car lots in Farmington and Springdale.
“The thing I like about this job is there is something different every day,” Mushrush said. “There are always new challenges. And the thing I like more than anything else is that you get to meet new people.”
Mushrush serves on the regional Chrysler-Jeep Advertising Board in Memphis. He is a member of the board of directors of the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club, which is in the process of building a new multimillion-dollar facility.
