AERT 4Q Sales Up 25 Percent

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. of Springdale on Jan. 8 announced that its unaudited gross sales for the quarter ended December 31, 2001 were $8 million, up 25 percent over $6.4 million from the same 2000 period.
For the year, AERT recorded gross sales of $34 million, up 20 percent from $28.3 million in 2000. According to a press release, AERT will file its annual report after completing an audit.
AERT manufactures a line of composite building products from recycled polyethylene plastic and waste wood fiber. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Texas and the Springdale recycling and manufacturing facility. Shares of AERT closed at $1.49 Jan. 16.
