Newroads Dials Into New Markets
Newroads Telecom of Fort Smith is on the offensive again in Northwest Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. The internet broadband service, CLEC and wireless provider already offers service in Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale and Fayetteville.
But the firm is now moving into Siloam Springs, Eureka Springs, Berryville, Poteau, Okla., and Carthage, Mo.
Newroads recently began offering synchronous digital subscriber line service in Benton and Washington counties. Plans are also in the works to expand its wireless service network, the dominate player in the Arkansas River Valley, to Northwest Arkansas.
Company officials previously set the goal of penetrating five states in five years and expanding Newroads’ coverage area to more than 80 Midwestern cities. It appears they weren’t joking.
