New Complaint Podium Opened on Web

We were recently informed about a new Web site being established for Fayetteville residents to voice their displeasure with Mayor Dan Coody.

We were told the address — www.coodysucks.com — will be complete with a chat room and that, while Coody would be the central target of the site, others in the city government would be “fair game,” too. The site launched Dec. 20, just after the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s deadline. It will reportedly have a similar look to www.theonion.com, an Internet magazine that has weekly spoofs on everything from celebrities to politicians to current affairs.

The caller had a good point when he said the owners of the Web site didn’t need to be named because newspaper “editorials don’t have names with them either.”

Nevertheless, for those who want to voice their concerns, we still suggest writing the mayor a letter or even visiting city hall.
