Dick Keating, president of Keating Enterprises Inc. of Fayetteville, has already leased 6,000 SF of his 10,000-SF retail/office center at 2501 SE 14th St. (Arkansas Highway 102) in Bentonville.

Keating secured the financing for the $1.1 million project from Hometown Financial, the mortgage lending arm of First State Bank in Fayetteville. He is building the facility through his Keating Joint Venture LLC of Fayetteville.

The first tenants will include Quizno’s Subs, Marconi Stereo and an Oriental take-out restaurant.

Construction started in March and is expected to be completed in January.

Keating Enterprises is the general contractor and the list of subcontractors includes Clyde Electric and Custom Aire, both of Fayetteville.

Senior Housing Development Coming to West Fayetteville

Wedington Place LLP of Bentonville on Oct. 31 purchased a building permit valued at $3.34 million to build the first phase of a senior housing development in west Fayetteville.

C.A. Construction Co. of Bentonville is the general contractor on the project, which will include 72 one and two-bedroom units. The two-bedroom units will include two baths and will be 800 SF. The one-bedroom units will be 624 SF. There will also be an activities center on site.

The Area Agency on Aging in Harrison is managing the facility. April is the target date for occupancy.

Cliffs Apartments Continue Growth

The Cliffs #4 LP on Nov. 26 purchased three building permits valued at a total of $972,000 to continue the expansion of an east Fayetteville apartment complex.

Located just off Crossover Road, The Cliffs Apartments are a joint venture between the Underwood and Lindsey families.

Included in the expansion of The Cliffs are three upscale 4-plexes. Each unit will be two stories and about 1,500 SF.

Lindsey Construction Co. is the general contractor on the project.

Phase II already has 33 12-plexes. Phase III is still in the planning stages and construction will not begin until next year.

Phase IV will be on the Sutton family property on the south side of the existing apartments. There will be an additional grouping of 12-plexes there.

Elder Construction Adds Multifamily Units

Chris Elder Construction of Fayetteville on Oct. 12 purchased two building permits totaling $940,000 to build several multifamily apartments in southeast Fayetteville.

The apartments will be located on Curtis Avenue near the American Legion baseball field.
