Beverly Board Elects Floyd

On Dec. 6, Fort Smith-headquartered Beverly Enterprises Inc. announced that its board of directors elected William R. Floyd as chairman of the board.
The directors also extended Floyd’s employment contract through 2006, and he will continue to serve as Beverly’s CEO and president. Floyd will replace David R. Banks, a 30-year veteran of the company.
According to a press release, Floyd joined Beverly in April 2000 after working in industries such as hospitality, consumer-packaged goods, restaurant operations, and marketing and information services. He is the former CEO of Choice Hotels International.
Beverly currently operates 475 skilled nursing facilities, 30 assisted-living centers, 56 home care and hospice agencies and 161 outpatient therapy clinics.
