ABF Freight System Repeat Web Winner

ABF Freight System Inc. of Fort Smith, the largest subsidiary of Arkansas Best Corp., has been honored for the second-straight year as one of the Web Business 50 Award winners.

The award, sponsored by CIO magazine, recognizes Web sites in business, government and nonprofit arenas. Other honorees include ESPN, Lands’ End, Eastman Chemical and Ford Motor Co.

ABF’s abf.com was one of only two repeat honorees from 2000 and one of only three — joining UPS and Southwest Airlines — in this year’s transportation field.

“CIO’s recognition of ABF’s e-commerce leadership across all industries, not just transportation, is gratifying,” said David Stubblefield, president and CEO of ABF. “Receiving this honor two years running puts ABF in very rare company and reflects our commitment to pioneering new technologies for the benefit of our customers.”
