At about the same time CSF Franchise Group was closing two of its Cafe Santa Fe restaurants operated by Abu-Haleema Enterprises, the company’s franchisees in Harrison apparently locked the doors and abandoned the restaurant there.

On Sept. 25, CSF closed Cafe Santa Fe restaurants at 25 Center St. in Fayetteville and 117 W. Walnut St. in Rogers. Another two franchises — in Fayetteville and Bentonville — were repossessed from Abu-Haleema.

According to the company’s Web site, Fayetteville-based CSF has 10 Cafe Santa Fe locations that remain in operation: eight in Arkansas and one each in Oklahoma and Missouri. The company had 17 restaurants open at this time last year after initiating an expansion plan.
