Jim Oliver is renovating the building at 200 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville to reopen it as Tusk’s Bottling Co. by the third week of October. The restaurant and full bar will serve pizza prepared next door at U.S. Pizza Co. as well as sandwiches and other items made in Tusk’s kitchen.

The Tusk’s building previously housed Passages, a retail store that moved across town to 2332 N. College Ave. in March.

The 7,200-SF building was constructed in 1937 and served from then until 1964 as home to Fayetteville Ice Co., a Coca-Cola Bottling Co. facility owned by the family of former U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright.

The name of the restaurant incorporates the building’s history along with the Arkansas Razorbacks mascot, a European boar named “Tusk.”

Tusk’s will occupy 4,200 SF of the building.
