We would like to commend the D-G for sending Dan Zehr, a business writer, and Rick McFarland, a photographer, to New York to cover the aftermath of the attacks. The D-G’s policy of datelining reports from the location of a story’s origination, even when the newspaper’s reporters haven’t left their newsroom, made us wonder initially if Zehr and McFarland were actually on the scene. But it turns out that they were.
