AERT Announces Increased Sales

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. announced a 15 percent increase in gross sales for July and August over figures from the comparable period of 2000. At $6.4 million, the unaudited gross sales increased from $5.5 million last year.
In a company press release, AERT Chairman Joe Brooks said the sales increases occurred despite a 10-day handicap in August. AERT’s Texas manufacturing facility was down during that time for upgrades and maintenance.
AERT manufactures a line of composite building products from recycled polyethylene plastic and waste wood fiber. Besides the Texas plant, AERT has a recycling and manufacturing facility in Springdale.
