Washington Regional Names Women of the Year

On September 10, four women were selected as Northwest Arkansas Women of the Year by Washington Regional Medical System, according to a press release. Nominated by their peers, the winners will be recognized at the medical system’s annual Speaking of Women’s Health program, which is scheduled to meet at the Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday, September 22.

Susan Chadick, a social worker at Regional Kidney Centers in Fayetteville, won the honor for Washington County. She earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Arkansas.

Susan Burckart, principal at Elm Tree Elementary School in Bentonville, was Benton County’s recipient. She has been with Bentonville Public Schools for 16 years, serving the last six as principal of Elm Tree. Burckart received a master’s degree in education from UA.

Diane McClelland from Carroll County and Shirley Coleman from Madison County were also selected.
