Steven Lewis wants to simplify technology for small businesses and home offices in Northwest Arkansas with his new firm, Absolute Net Tech.

Operating from his own home office in Fayetteville, Lewis’ services include consultation, cabling, equipment sales and installation and office planning. He is Microsoft-certified, will soon be a certified engineer of Linux-firewalls and offers custom-built servers.

Absolute Net Tech carries some brand-name stock, including IBM and Compaq. However, Lewis said he helps his clients shop for the right machines, even if they aren’t brands he sells.

“I try to build a relationship [with a customer] that is an advisory role,” Lewis said. “My clients know they can call me with questions.”

Tailored customer service sets his business apart from others in the market, Lewis said. Each server package includes four hours of setup and client-orientation. Absolute Net Tech charges $80 per hour for house calls, and Lewis offers the first 30 minutes of the call for diagnostic procedures at no expense to the customer.
