It’s been widely reported that Arkansas companies are hurting for information technology workers. But what other issues do Arkie IT leaders face?
Bill Hargrave, executive director of the Information Technology Research Center at the University of Arkansas’ Walton College of Business, recently conducted a survey to find out. The ITRC asked the Chief Information Officers of 14 Arkansas corporations for the Top 10 issues that would affect them in the coming year.
As expected, the No. 1 problem was recruiting and retaining workers. CIOs who were surveyed said more opportunities and higher pay in other states are still causing a local brain drain.
