What else would you expect from Northwest Arkansas’ real estate powerhouse?

Lindsey & Associates Inc.’s Web site is an invaluable resource for commercial and development property or single and multifamily residences. We can’t imagine why a prospective local property buyer or seller wouldn’t consult www.lindsey.com before pulling the trigger on a deal.

We were impressed both with the number of properties listed on and those reachable through the site. The only thing that kept Lindsey from getting an “excellent” rating was we couldn’t get anyone on the phone to tell us about the site’s development or traffic.

In addition to the site’s static menu, sharp logo and unobtrusive mouse-over features — all of which quickly direct readers to their individual areas of interest — the home page features photos of Lindsey’s offices in Fayetteville and Rogers. That’s a good way of reinforcing the fact Lindsey is locally owned and operated.

We loved the virtual tour of homes and the link to “spotlight properties,” where we found some whopper deals including some commercial properties we didn’t even know were for sale. We’ll pay more attention in the future.

We loved having the option of clicking on any of 133 agents, seeing their photo and zipping them an e-mail. That makes Lindsey’s agents ultra accessible.

As of early June, the site had more than 55,000 visitors tallied on its home page counter. We’ve repeatedly suggested that sites should leave off such counters, since slow traffic flow can give a negative impression. But Lindsey apparently isn’t yet interested in selling ads on its site, and the way the counter is tucked low on the home page helps.

The link to Realtor.com is an extremely slow load (even over a DSL connection), but that’s a reflection on the National Realtors Association and not Lindsey.

One of our reviewers suggested that since college students are generally adept at the Internet, and since Lindsey’s sister company Lindsey Management is the local apartment king, it would be nice to have a link that could be used for online apartment shopping.

Even our most critical technician had this to say, “This is the best site we’ve reviewed yet.” He added that in addition to plenty of information, the site has a nice design and all of the resourceful tools you’d expect from Northwest Arkansas’ “big time realtor.” He said the search functions are solid, and the site is clean and easy to navigate.

It’s obvious Lindsey has made a commitment to have a strong online presence.
