Taylor Displays Inc. has been in quite a bind financially, but owner Greg Taylor is looking into forming a partnership with one of Springdale’s most respected businessmen.

Phil Phillips, former owner of Phillips Litho, confirmed that he has had discussions with Taylor, but added, “Nothing has been put in any legal form, yet.”

We ran an article in February regarding Taylor purchasing Exhibit Builders in Dallas. We were later inundated with phone calls from business people expressing their displeasure with Taylor, including some going to the extent of faxing us documents regarding Taylor’s well-overdue bills.

Taylor Displays, which also has offices in Little Rock and Tulsa, is headquartered at 910 Shaver St. in Springdale and has about 45 employees. It provides management for trade shows and conventions. Its biggest client is Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

During the recent Northwest Arkansas Homebuilders’ Show at the Randall Tyson Indoor Track Center in Fayetteville, Taylor and Phillips were, as one businessman said, “joined at the hip.”
