Shorty Small’s, self-described as a “great American restaurant,” plans to open a franchise in Fayetteville within the next six months.

Shorty Small’s president Paul Kreth said he will make his third trip to Fayetteville in April to settle on a site for the restaurant.

Based in Oklahoma City, Shorty Small’s has Arkansas locations in Hot Springs, Little Rock and North Little Rock.

The restaurant’s Web site — www.shortysmalls.com — says it specializes in large portions of barbecue, burgers and nachos.
