Baldor Varied Executive Compensation
Some administrators at Baldor Electric Co. received increases in total compensation for 2000, while others found decreases. According to Baldor’s annual proxy statement, President and CEO John McFarland received $523,629 this year, including his salary, bonus, profit-sharing contributions and 401(k) deposits. That is 14.6 percent more than the $456,903 he received in 1999.
Board chairman R.S. Boreham Jr. saw a drop in his 2000 total compensation with $594,486, down 23.7 percent from $778,975 last year.
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Lloyd Davis made $425,401 in 2000, up 15.2 percent from $369,367 in 1999.
Baldor Electric Co. shareholders and administrators will meet at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Breedlove Auditorium of Westark College in Fort Smith for the company’s annual meeting.
Shares of Baldor (NYSE: BAZ) were trading at $21.70 today.
