Tyson Recalls Chicken Wings
Tastybird Buffalo Style Wings of Fire, a product of Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale, has been voluntarily recalled by the Tyson because they might contain an undeclared allergen.
The U.S. Agriculture Department announced the recall Thursday.
About 50,000 pounds of the chicken wings were recalled because of mislabeling. Wheat flour, a known allergen, was not listed on the 40-ounce bags of wings produced Jan. 2, 5, 6 and 20. An 11-character date code beginning with “0021BRV,” “0051BRV,” “0061BRV” or “0201BRV,” is printed on the front of the recalled bags.
The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said no illnesses have been reported due to consumption of the product. The wings were distributed to military installations nationwide and in Asia, the Middle East and Germany.
