We found it very interesting, perhaps a bit sad, that more visitors to NWANews.com were interested in the Northwest Arkansas Times daily poll that asked “Do you gamble on college football games?” than the Benton County Daily Record poll that asked “Should members of the Arkansas Highway Commission be elected?”
At one point on Jan. 24, the total votes for the Times’ poll was 713 to a mere one vote on the Daily Record poll. Visitors can vote once in both.
By Feb. 1, the votes had improved to 809 on college gambling — 66 percent of which were filed for “never” — and 130 on the Highway Commission, led by 71 percent in favor of elections.
