Ticket Giveaway Boosts Site Visits

NWAOutOnTheTown.com has gotten 1,200 hits since November.
That’s probably due in no small part to the University of Arkansas basketball ticket giveaway the site is conducting for every home Southeastern Conference game this year. Surfers are simply required to register to try to win a pair of tickets.
Bryan McBryde is president and owner of the Web development firm that operates the site, MC Computer Solutions Inc. of Fayetteville. He said NWAOutOnTheTown.com is designed to be an event-oriented online community that’s focused on the local area.
So far the site, which debuted in June, has about 20 advertisers who are paying as little as $10 monthly for a Web link to $30 monthly for advertising pages. Re/Max & Associates Inc. of Rogers is a corporate sponsor for the site’s area house search tool.
Local movie schedules, high school football scores and games for kids are some of the components included. McBryde estimated that he’s invested $25,000 in developing NWAOutOnTheTown.com, including equipment, time and money.
