Forty Under 40: Steven Hinds
Steven Hinds said it’s a challenge to set even Arvest McIlroy Bank apart in this competitive market. In his fifth year at the Fayetteville bank, the vice president of marketing and public relations said he enjoys working with a variety of people on both internal and external projects.
“I like the fact that I have so much interaction with the public,” Hinds said. “The people I work with and the confidence they place in me has been very rewarding.”
Hinds earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas in 1989, and a master’s in higher education administration in 1992. He went into business development for the UA, where in 1994 he was named Outstanding New Professional for an 11-state region by the National Association of Student Personnel Administration. He also completed the Arkansas Bankers Association Consumer Lending School.
Hinds is is on the UA Student Affairs Advancement Board, is the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house corporate chairman, administrator of the Northwest Arkansas UA Alumni Association and active with the local Chamber of Commerce and United Way.
The Springdale native has completed the Arkansas Bankers Association Consumer Lending School and several Arvest programs.
