Forty Under 40: Steve Lisle
The son of John Lisle, a Springdale lawyer, Steve Lisle wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps.
“I heard rewarding stories from my father as a child and knew I wanted to grow up and help people with problems that are significant to them,” Lisle said.
Lisle, 34, earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Hendrix College, then attended Vanderbilt Law School. After law school, Lisle moved to Atlanta to work at the Drew, Eckl, and Farnham Law Firm with about 75 other lawyers.
In 1994, he moved back to Northwest Arkansas to work for his father’s Lisle Law Firm.
In 1989, Lisle attended the United States Army Officer Candidate School and in 1999, he was awarded the Arkansas Trial Lawyer’s Association President’s Award.
Lisle has served on the Board of Directors for the Arts Center of the Ozarks. He has done volunteer work for the Washington County American Heart Association. In 1996, he was part of the Springdale Leadership Program. Lisle served as city attorney for Lowell in 1997.
“My job is a challenge every day, but I want to be a problem solver,” said Lisle. “I love living and working in Northwest Arkansas, and I love raising a family here.”
