Forty Under 40: Lynne Kenworthy
Lynne Kenworthy said she was an “AT&T brat” growing up, constantly on the move with her father’s job. But she was taught by her Arkansas-raised parents to love the Razorbacks. Today it’s a local call for her to Fayetteville as part of the team at Tyson Foods Inc.
Kenworthy, 38, has a dual role with the poultry giant. She is general manager and vice president of marketing over the Entree Division and Fayetteville Freezer. She is responsible for total operations, P&L, strategic and financial development for the businesses.
As vice president of marketing, her duties include overall strategic development and marketing of the Mallards Foods, Culinary Foods and Mexican Original products units across foodservice, retail, club store and international markets.
After graduating from the University of Arkansas with a degree in marketing management, Kenworthy started at Tyson in 1986, left for Houston as a buyer for Sysco Foods and Glazier Foods, then returned to Tyson in 1993.
“It really boils down to a great work environment [at Tyson Foods],” she said. “There are constant challenges. One thing for sure, it is never dull.”
Kenworthy’s hobbies include tai chi, yoga and photography.
