After earning an agricultural business degree from the University of Arkansas in 1992, Greg Goggans worked for Tyson Foods Inc. for six years before talking his wife, Linda, into starting an advertising agency with him.

“We loved this area and wanted to get back to Northwest Arkansas,” Goggans said. “We worked to make it work.”

The couple moved to Fayetteville from Little Rock in 1997 to open The Goggans Agency. Now, their clients include Sam’s Club, GE Capital, Arkansas Western Gas Co. and Transplace, the logistics wing of J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. The Goggans Agency also works with Tyson Foods of Springdale and Simmons Foods of Siloam Springs.

Goggans, 32, grew up in Rison (Cleveland County). He spent three years in the production management program at Tyson’s Berry Street Plant in Springdale and another three years in food service sales for Tyson in Little Rock, eventually becoming manager over Arkansas sales.

Goggans is on the Habitat for Humanity board, the United Way Business Campaign Committee, the American Heart Association Communications Committee and the Fayetteville Country Club House Committee. He is also a member of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest Arkansas Advertising Federation.
