Brooke VanDyke of VanDyke Construction Co. in Rogers and his partners on Nov. 7 got a loan of $1.08 million from the Bank of Fayetteville to build a private, secured parking site at the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in Highfill.

VanDyke said he had hoped the 600-unit parking facility would be open in March, but that the snow and ice might force a delay. The property is about 500 feet from the airport entrance.

VanDyke Offsite Airport Parking Inc. will have three shuttle buses available during all airline flight times and hours.

The price will be about the same or cheaper than airport parking, VanDyke said, and there will be 24-hour security at the lighted and fenced site. Men’s and women’s restrooms will also be available at the site.
