Suzie Stephens and Christy Adams plan to merge their two gourmet food stores in Fayetteville into one as of March 1.

Adams will move her Christy’s Kitchen from a 2,500-SF location in Spring Creek Center to the current 4,000-SF location of Stephens’ Nibbles Food Emporium at 3184 N. College Ave.

“This is just a good business move for both of us,” Adams said.

Christy’s Kitchen has been open at its current location for the past four years.

Adams said she’s currently having a moving sale to reduce inventory before the move. Once in place at Nibbles, she’ll carry the same items that were stocked at the Spring Creek Center location.

Adams said both businesses will retain their names and will have signage at the current location of Nibbles Emporium.

Christy’s Kitchen stocked primarily kitchenware. Nibbles Emporium carried primarily food items.

“All of the merchandise will be blended together,” Adams said. “You can check out at the same register.”

The move will allow the business to increase the number of cooking classes it offers, Adams said.
