Robert East and Darrell Russell of SEFAY LLC on Sept. 29 got a loan of $2.64 million from Bank of the Ozarks in Little Rock to build the new home of Stephens Inc.’s Northwest Arkansas headquarters in Fayetteville.

Stephens — a Little Rock-based, full-service investment banking company — plans to have its new office open by May 1.

The two-story, 25,000-SF building will be at 3425 N. Futrall Drive. Construction began Nov. 1.

The general contractor for the project is East-Harding Inc. of Little Rock. Polk Stanley Yeary Architects Ltd. designed the building.

Stephens will use the entire 11,660 SF of space on the top floor. The law firm of Friday, Eldredge & Clark has agreed to lease 4,000 SF of the bottom floor. There will be additional space available.
