Builders Plan Bentonville Skating Rink

Roseana Carter of Meadow Springs School Inc. on Sept. 29 got a loan of $829,775 from Arkansas National Bank in Rogers to build a skating rink/day care in Bentonville.

The 18,000-SF building will serve as a branch of Great Day Learning Center, a preschool day care in Rogers. The building, which is targeted for completion by April 1, will be open for skating at Great Day Skate Place in the evenings and on weekends.

David Carter is the contractor on the project.

The new facility will be at 1615 Moberly Lane in Bentonville. Great Day Learning Center, which is licensed for 30 children, is at 1309 W. Hudson Road in Rogers. The school offers half-day, after-school, single-day and other programs.

The Carters previously owned skating rinks in both Fayetteville and Bentonville. Great Day Skate Place will have a wooden floor and a concession area.
