Adams Sets Up Camp

Rogers-based Adams Outfitters plans to open a third location on Dickson Street in Fayetteville.

Bill Adams purchased Elmo’s Pack & Paddle Inc. Aug. 15 from Elmo Hicks for an undisclosed amount Hicks owned the shop for about two years, selling canoes, kayaks, diving equipment and outdoor clothing.

Adams said he plans to sell “everything that is not nailed down” to make room for remodeling. The 4,000-SF building will be stripped and refurbished by Ron Hundnall of Resource Design. Hundnall’s work can be seen in the Northwest Arkansas Mall since he designs every Journeys clothing store in the nation, Adams said.

Adams Outfitters also has locations in Rogers and Branson, Mo.
