Following the trends in contemporary furniture, Flonnie Kinder’s shop offers the latest styles of eclectic home decoration.

Glass and metal-framed dinette sets are examples of the store’s contemporary styles.

Patterns and fabrics that were popular in the late ’50s and ’60s are also trendy right now, Kinder’s nephew, Tommy Burch, says.

Burch manages Flonnie’s Furniture for Kinder while she resides in Phoenix.

“I really enjoy working with the public and helping people make choices,” Burch says. Before the furniture business, Burch worked with computer services for 20 years, but the retailing seems to be working out, Burch says.

Meeting their initial expectations, the store received a good response from the consumers in its first few weeks, Burch says.

Burch says the store’s wide variety of styles can enhance anyone’s decorating style. A web site is being planned for the store.
