Forty Under 40: Rick Rogers
Rick Rogers, 34, a department manager for Civil Environmental Industrial Engineering Associates Inc. of Bentonville, leads a team of nine engineers in catering directly to the development needs of the local market.
A native of Bryant and a University of Arkansas graduate with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Rogers spent six years working for WinRock Development Co. in Little Rock. He was responsible for coordinating residential subdivision designs and developments among the firm, the consulting engineer and contractors.
But Rogers was looking for another opportunity. A vacancy opened at CEI Engineering in Bentonville, and 30 days later Rogers moved to Northwest Arkansas.
Rogers started at CEI four years ago as a designer in the local development department. With his license in landscape architecture and his performance, Rogers was able to work his way up to be the local company’s senior landscape architect.
He assists the company nationwide and holds licenses in 11 states.
“I love seeing something that we’ve spent time designing come together and people actually using and enjoying it,” Rogers says. “The latest projects that we’ve done that I’m most proud of are the Lowell commercial addition and Bentonville’s new high school, which is now under construction.”
