Forty Under 40: Hannah McNeill
Hannah McNeill, 33, is working on her biggest project yet.
An intern architect at Wischmeyer Architects of Fayetteville, McNeill is working on a new, 24,000-SF medical office building on Millsap Road in Fayetteville. She’s excited about the project being built for Copper Property LLC, along with the 16,000-SF city administration building she’s designing for the city of Siloam Springs.
McNeill is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a graduate of the Harvard School of Design. She was previously an intern architect at W. Cal Canfield & Associates of Fayetteville before joining Wischmeyer three years ago, and has won architectural awards from Theta Tau Engineering Fraternity and the Architects as Artists competition.
McNeill meets with clients to discuss their projects’ design and construction drawings and strives to keep them within their budgets.
“That’s my favorite part,” McNeill says. “I have a lot of repeat clients, too, and that’s reassuring that the jobs we’re doing are working out so far.”
McNeill, says she’s been influenced by a wide range of different architectural styles, including Richard Meyer and E. Fay Jones. She is currently in the process of completing her architectural registration examination.
