Dixieland Not Forgotten

The flurry of activity at Dixieland Mall in Rogers continues.

Hibbett Sports, a national chain of more than 150 stores, plans to open a 5,000-SF store in the mall on Oct. 21. The store will carry a full line of sports apparel, athletic shoes and sporting goods.

The stores are based in Birmingham, Ala., and this is their first venture into Northwest Arkansas.

This latest opening follows the opening of three other stores in August. Goody’s Family Clothing opened a 27,000-SF store Aug. 13. Also in August, Mimi’s, a gourmet restaurant, and the Christian Book Outlet opened in the mall.

All of this activity is no accident. The owners of the mall are currently investing more than $1 million in an overhaul of the mall’s appearance and facilities. We hear that more new stores are expected soon.
