The pending acquisition of two more Oklahoma banks has resulted in a sort of musical chairs among managers at the Arvest Bank Group.

The latest is that Gary Head, executive vice president for business development at McIlroy Bank & Trust in Fayetteville, has now assumed additional responsibilities, the result of the impending departure of Don Story. Story, who was McIlroy’s sales manager, has been named president of WestStar Bank in Bartlesville, Okla. In addition, Marilyn Hendricks, a senior vice president at McIlroy, is also assuming additional duties at the bank as a result of Story’s departure.

For those keeping track, other Arvest managers making changes include: Don Story, moving from the presidency of Bank of Bentonville to become president of State Bank & Trust in Tulsa; Burton Stacy, who’s leaving the Tulsa bank to return to Bentonville but who will oversee the new banks; David Short, who’s leaving the presidency of WestStar to become president of Bank of Bentonville; Jim Cargill, sales manager at WestStar who is to be president of American Bank and Trust Co., in Shawnee, one of the banks being purchased by Arvest; and Andrea Novak, who left her position as training director for Arvest Bank Group to become sales manager at WestStar.

United Bank of Del City is the other bank being purchased by the group.

The presidents officially assume their new duties on Aug. 1.
