NovaSys Health Network Earns Accreditation

NovaSys Health Network, whose owners include Northwest Health System’s PremierCare, has earned accreditation from the American Association Healthcare Commission/URAC.
NovaSys is a 75-hospital, 3,600-physician network that spans the state, giving its owners — and the people they insure — access to a large number of health care providers. The network was founded in March 1997.
The accreditation is a designation recognizing the network’s utilization review service, NovaReview, as among the nation’s best.
Already, NovaSys is working for NCQA accreditation for its physicians, a designation that would recognize the doctors as meeting standards set by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Networks aren’t eligible to seek that status, however, until they have been in existence at least 18 months.
