Clark Hall Lines Up Support From 18 Democratic Legislators
Eighteen (18) state legislators from the First Congressional District have signed an endorsement letter for Rep. Clark Hall (D-Marvell), who is challenging First District Cong. Rick Crawford (R). The letter touts Hall’s work in the House and his "strong leadership and character."
The letter reads:
It is a privilege to pledge our support for our friend and colleague, Rep. Clark Hall (D-Marvell), and his candidacy for U.S. Congress, representing Arkansas’s 1st Congressional District. During his three terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives, Clark has been a tireless advocate for his constituents. A farmer and East Arkansas native, he has represented the area’s interests well at the city and county levels and in Little Rock, and he would continue to do so in Washington, D.C.
Clark has shown strong leadership and character on several issues since being elected in 2006, and especially as Chairman of the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, where he took the lead on several important matters during the 2011 Regular Session. It has been an honor to know and share service with Clark in the General Assembly. We look forward to making sure his strong voice and Arkansas values are chosen to represent the people of the 1st Congressional District.
The 18 Democratic lawmakers signing the letter include: House Speaker Robert Moore, Rep. Buddy Lovell, Rep. Billy Gaskill, Rep. Mike Patterson, Rep. Tommy Baker, Rep. Keith Ingram, Rep. Jody Dickinson, Rep. James Ratliff, Rep. Reginald Murdock, Rep. Butch Wilkins, Rep. Homer Lenderman, Rep. Charolette Wagner, Rep. Hudson Hallum, Rep. Walls McCrary, Rep. Marshall Wright, Sen. David Burnett, Sen. Jimmy Jeffress, and Sen. Jack Crumbly.
Talk Business’ Jason Tolbert also has news on the Hall for Congress campaign. It appears that Fourth District Cong. Mike Ross (D) will host a fundraiser in Little Rock for Hall in early November. Read more here.
