Becky Barnes Campbell and Lauren Waldrip Ward announced Wednesday (Aug. 23) the opening of Campbell Ward LLC in Little Rock. The firm, according to a news release, will provide services in public relations, public affairs, trade association management, media relations, issue management, event coordination and PAC management.

Both women previously worked at Noble Strategies; Campbell as director of operations and Ward as director of public affairs. Their new venture is a result of reshuffling due to the departure of Noble Strategies president Ben Noble, who accepted a job recently to become vice president of marketing and strategy for Riceland Foods Inc. of Stuttgart.

Ward was also recently hired as executive director of the Arkansas Rice Federation..

Campbell has also been the special events coordinator at the Arkansas Foodbank, and served as chief of staff to Arkansas First Lady Ginger Beebe, working as her scheduler, community liaison, and media coordinator, while also championing the first lady’s causes.

“As a lifelong Arkansan, I have always promoted this state I love,” Campbell said in a statement. “The opportunity to continue doing so professionally under my own name is something for which I will remain ever grateful. Lauren and I created Campbell Ward to support agriculture and other key sectors of our economy so that more of the world will learn what we’ve known about Arkansas our entire lives.”

Added Ward: “We simply want to help our friends find innovative ways to tell their stories. Arkansas is a land of many opportunities, and I look forward to finding the best ways that Campbell Ward can help our neighbors realize the success they seek.”
