Did you know Springdale-based supermarket chain Harps Food Stores Inc. sold its recently refurbished location on Highway 412?

In a sale-leaseback deal, a local investment group bought the 4.23-acre property for $5.8 million.

The purchase was made in the name of PLKK Harps 412 LLC. Principals of that LLC, according to real estate records, include Jim Petty, Brent Lacefield, Robert Kimbel and Miles Kimbel Jr.

The flagship store of the Harps chain, opened originally in 1974, underwent a $4.5 million renovation last year. The store re-opened in September and includes, among other things, an enhanced pharmacy, improved deli, new options for meat and seafood and a Dunkin’ Donuts location.
