The UA Walton College Center for Business and Economic Research announced that James Bullard, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, will speak at its Quarterly Business Analysis program in November.

The event features CBER director Kathy Deck presenting business highlights of the previous quarter, key economic trends, projections and immediate and long-term issues facing the regional and state economy.

This quarter, Bullard will discuss recent economic trends from his view at the Federal Reserve and as a member of the Federal Open Market Committee.

The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers.

“We are thrilled to welcome President Bullard as the featured speaker at our next Quarterly Business Analysis event,” Deck said. “Hosting such a distinguished economic policymaker at our regular luncheon event is another way that the Center for Business and Economic Research brings good information to the leaders of Northwest Arkansas and provide them with up-to-date data and trends.”

Bullard became president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in 2008.
