Boozman: Iraq War Was Worth It
KUAR’s Ron Breeding interviewed U.S. Senator John Boozman (R) as America begins its exit of Iraq after nine years of war.
Boozman said the nearly 4,500 American deaths — 62 from Arkansas — and estimated $832 billion in costs were worth it.
“Saddam Hussein was a weapon of mass destruction himself,” Boozman tells KUAR. “He was a guy who used gas against the Kurds… Right now, Iraq has a stable police force, a stable military. And hopefully that will continue, and they’ll be successful in having a form of democracy that is not a safe haven for terrorism in the future.”
