XNA will offer nonstop American Airlines flight to Washington, D.C.

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) will offer nonstop American Airline flights to Washington, D.C., starting in April.

The daily flights will depart XNA at 7 a.m. and arrive at 10:45 a.m. at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Flights leaving Washington, D.C., will leave at 7:30 p.m. and arrive at XNA at 9:10 p.m.

“On behalf of the Authority’s Board of Directors, I thank American for providing the people of Northwest Arkansas yet another new destination,” XNA Chairman Mike Johnson said, according to an XNA press release. “I know this service will be well received by people throughout our region.”

Sales for the flights, offered by American Airlines and operated by Republic, start Monday (Dec. 5).

“Northwest Arkansas is a rapidly growing and economically diverse region of this country,” Kelly Johnson, airport director, said in the press release. “We appreciate the fact that our partners at American Airlines recognize the need for this service and we thank them for their continued commitment to our region.”

American Airlines also offers flights out of XNA to Charlotte, N.C., Chicago, Dallas, New York City and Los Angeles. Delta offers flights to Atlanta, Cincinnati and Minneapolis out of XNA. United Airlines offers Houston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco and Newark, New Jersey. Allegiant Airlines offers flights to Las Vegas and Orlando.
