Bret Michaels, Rick Springfield and Clint Black part of Arkansas State Fair music lineup
Organizers of the 2016 Arkansas State Fair are promising to take music lovers on an eclectic journey of musical styles with its 77th annual event, bringing together an array of performers in the country, alternative, R&B, and classic rock genres.
The full concert lineup for the Fair – presented by Steve Landers Auto Group – was announced recently, kicking off with Poison frontman Bret Michaels on Friday (Oct. 14) and closing with After 7 on Sunday (Oct. 23). Each night will be headlined by a different act, including Rick Springfield, Collin Raye, Clint Black, Trapt and Saliva.
Fair general manager Ralph Shoptaw, said each show will take place from the Wendy’s Main Stage and offer something “for every musical taste,” while being included free with general admission to the Fair. “Unlike many fairs and festivals, we continue to offer our patrons this amazing musical entertainment at no extra charge. Once you’re in the gate, all of our concerts are free,” Shoptaw said, adding that upgrade seating and exclusive “deck packages” are available for an additional charge.
The Arkansas State Fair drew more than 470,000 visitors in 2015.
Premium concert tickets go on sale Friday (July 22) at the Arkansas State Fair website.
