Clinton National Airport to add flight to Denver

The Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport will add another nonstop flight to Denver International Airport in time for Spring Break skiers. United Airlines will add another daily flight between Clinton National (LIT) and Denver International Airport (DEN), beginning Feb. 11.

The new nonstop flight, which is planned to provide midday service, will bring the total number of daily flights to three to/from Little Rock and the Mile High City. Just under 500 flights typically depart Little Rock each week.

Passengers may now fly to 13 other airports in 11 cities nonstop from Little Rock: Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas (Love and DFW), Chicago (Midway and O’Hare), Detroit, Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, Houston, Baltimore and New Orleans. In 2016, flights to St. Louis and Los Angeles are scheduled to begin. Officials say the number of destinations offered has remained between 14 and 16 for the past five years.

There are no new destination announcements planned at this time, according to Shane Carter, director of Public Affairs and Government Relations for the airport.

“Stay tuned.  We work with airlines on a daily basis to plan new routes and retain current ones.  The number of destinations offered is driven by community demand,” he said.

Most flights from Little Rock are to hub airports like Denver. United operates more than 350 daily flights to 125 airports across the United States from Denver, including frequent daily service to top business travel markets in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston. United also serves 17 daily nonstop flights to 15 international destinations out of Denver including one daily nonstop flight to Tokyo; three daily nonstop flights to seven cities in Latin America and the Caribbean, and 13 daily nonstop flights to seven destinations in Canada.
