Arkansas Children’s Hospital Selects Architects For NWA Campus

Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) has selected FKP Architects of Houston and Arkansas-based Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects to help design its new Northwest Arkansas facility.

The hospital will be located off I-49 in Springdale across the street from Arvest Ballpark. David and Cathy George Evans, Gary and Robin George, and their families donated 37 acres for the campus.

Hospital President and CEO Marcy Doderer announced the planned expansion Aug. 7 in Rogers. According to a press release sent Thursday, $184 million will be invested over the next five years.”

The press release said the hospital has a “wide-ranging plan to develop a statewide network of care.”

The hospital plans to break ground on the 225,000-square-foot facility in spring 2016. Plans include 24 inpatient beds, emergency department/urgent care center with 21 exam rooms, 30 clinic exam rooms, five operating rooms, and a helipad with refueling station.
