A certified public accountant who previously worked as the district treasurer for an area school district was picked Wednesday to serve in a key city post in Jonesboro.

Allen has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University.
She has participated in several leadership programs and volunteers her time with several community organizations.
“We had several qualified candidates from across the country for this position. Suzanne’s combination of education, capability, and community service made her stand out,” Perrin said. “I am very excited about her joining our team. She brings a great deal of experience and skill in financial operations and management to our city.”
Allen said she is ready to go to work.
“I would like to thank Mayor Perrin and the City Council for giving me the opportunity to serve the citizens of Jonesboro. I look forward to being part of the Jonesboro family and joining the remarkable team within the Mayor’s office,” said Allen.
