Windstream Makes Senior Leadership Appointments

Windstream Corp. announced two senior leadership appointments on Tuesday.

Kevin Halpin has been named senior vice president of process development and improvement and will work with business unit leaders across the company to enhance the customer experience,” the company said.”

Kristi Moody has been named senior vice president of law and corporate secretary for the board of directors.

“Kevin has a proven record of improving the customer experience through both process reengineering and information technology initiatives by enhancing collaboration throughout organizations,” said Tony Thomas, Windstream president and CEO.

Halpin has worked in the communications industry for more than 20 years. He previously served as vice president of information technology for Allied Wireless Communications Corp. Prior to that, Halpin served as vice president of process development for Alltel Corp. from 2004 to 2008, where he designed the company’s strategic planning process.

Moody will provide counsel for various key company functions, including corporate governance, securities law compliance, investor relations, capital markets, treasury, external communications and corporate development, in her expanded role in the legal organization. She also will retain oversight of dispute resolution and contingencies.

“Kristi has excelled throughout her career at Windstream and consistently provided exceptional judgment and effective counsel,” said John Fletcher, executive vice president and general counsel. “The board and I are pleased to have her in this expanded governance and compliance role.”

Moody joined Windstream in 2006 as senior litigation counsel. She was named vice president of law in 2012 and deputy general counsel in 2013. Prior to joining Windstream, Moody was in private practice for 11 years at Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP.
